Lester
We have made so many plans to go to Houston and something keeps getting in the way. Well now my knee has gotten in the way. I am scheduled for surgery on Friday and if all goes well, we should make it to the boat in about six weeks. Per the Dr., the worst case scenario is that I will be in crutches for six weeks followed by at least six weeks of therapy.

I have hired Captain Ben Miller with BM Boatworks to take Seanna out of the water and do a bottom job on her and replace all of the thru hulls. For you non-sailors, a bottom job is where an anti fouling paint is applied to the bottom of the boat to prevent sea life from attaching and creating extra friction and slowing the boat. The thru hulls are the valves that penetrate the hull so water may be sucked in or effluent be discharged. For instance there is one for the cooling water for the engine, one each for the sink drains and two for the head. We have also made arraingements for the air conditioner to be worked on. It is a heat pump and is heating real good but not cooling. These are all things we planned to do ourselves, but now we'll just hire them done for the sake of timeliness.

I really hate the idea of being incapacitated during any part of hurricane season, but Captain Ben said he would take care of Seanna for us. When I get more information on my knee, I'll update the blog.
