Spent week on Seanna

Lester
We have been on Seanna for a week now and we are learning how to live aboard quite well. We haven't accomplished much though. Frank our sailmaker put the new sails on, they are awesome. We were going to go for a sail, but we also knew we needed new chainplates so we went out looking for a solution. In the process, we found out ours are probably worse than we thought. So we decided not to sail until the chainplates are done. We need 6 plates and the prices we got ranged from $360- $200 each. Then Lester got the idea to make his own. We went to Galveston and bought the plate material for $158. We will do our own machining and save at least a grand. We spent another 2 days cleaning the boat and she is looking pretty good. We also installed a new TV and stereo. The TV looks good and the stereo sounds great, and they were both cheap. We have to go back to Oklahoma tomorrow for a MRI and Dr. appointment. We are also taking back the rest of our interior cushions so I can upholster them. The ones we have done look really nice. I'm guessing we'll be OK for a couple of weeks to finish the cushions and machine the chain plates. Then hopefully we'll come back to Seanna.
