Spent part of the day on the bay

We were working on another chain plate this morning when some friends came by in their power boat and asked us if we wanted to go out to the bay. Well of course. We went out to the shipping channel and checked out some ships and barges on their way to the Port of Houston. We also saw several shrimp boats out working. Galveston bay is only surpassed by the Chesapeake bay in seafood harvest for the USA.
We only have one more chain plate to replace. Breakwater Marine is supposed to be here in the morning to install our radar. They were scheduled for last Thursday, but it was to cold and windy.
Once we finish the last chain plate, we will change the engine oil, install a new depth finder and then on Friday, Robyn's birthday, we'll spend the day sailing. We sure can't wait to sail Seanna.
We still seem to be on schedule to head south on the first of March. Our first Port of Entry will be Isla Mujeres, Mexico. The beaches of Mujeres will be wonderful after a gulf crossing. I might have to order a cerveza upon our arrival. But first, we have to get Seanna ready. I will probably order the solar panels when we get home for the holidays. The panels and the water maker are the last two big things we have to get done. We have a lot of little things too.
