Sailing video and update

Well finally after several days of trying to upload our newest video, it's done. Every time we tried, the upload time was going to be several hours. Then yesterday Brittani flew down to the boat. She used her wi-fi on her phone and the video uploaded in about half an hour. I guess if we're going to pirate wi-fi, we should at least be a little more selective and get a faster connection. Although we did go to McDonalds and used their wi-fi with the same results. Makes you wonder where the world is headed when free wi-fi is too slow to upload a video. It's just a sad state of affairs. Thanks Britt for the help.

We'll be leaving Seanna on Sunday and headed back to Oklahoma for the Holidays. We should be back around the first of the year. That should give us about two months to finish getting Seanna ready. The to-do list is getting smaller and easier. We will pick up a dinghy either on our way to Oklahoma, or on our way back. Our friend Sonny has found us a good deal on one in Dallas. We sold our hard dinghy yesterday to our neighbor here at Legend Point Marina. I think the hard dinghy idea was a good one, but we also think we will enjoy the added stability of an inflatable once we get to the islands.

Along with the dinghy, we still need to get an outboard motor, a new liferaft, and the solar panels. I think I'll mail-order those items and have them shipped to Oklahoma. I am leaning towards a Tohotsu 6HP outboard, a Revere liferaft, and Kyrocera solar panels.

We have room for 3 solar panels. Two 135 watt and one 80 watt. That will be 350 watts and when you figure 80% efficiency times four hours a day, that should supply us with over 100 amp hours a day to our battery bank. We can also count on our wind generator for about that much power again each day. The goal is to not have to run our engine every day to charge the batteries.

I'm guessing this will be the last post from Seanna for a while. Happy holidays and merry Christmas from The Crew of Seanna.
