Update from Oklahoma

02 December 2011 | Guthrie, USA
Lester
We have been in Oklahoma for almost two weeks now. Yesterday I got to see one of my old Battalion Chiefs. It was really good to see Chief Hamill again.

Last night we went to dinner with Steve and Phyllis Switzer. Steve has been following us on the blog and is very interested in cruising in a few years. Dinner was very nice and we had a good time with Steve and Phyllis.

Today I am going to the Oklahoma 5A State Championship game in Stillwater with our friend Sammy. Guthrie is playing Lawton Mac for the State Championship. It should be very cold, windy, and very depressing for Lawton. I certainly would understand if they didn't show up.

I brought the wheel home from Seanna and I have now completed varnishing it. It looks pretty good. Our dinghy motor was delivered last week and I will order the solar panels either today or Monday.

It has been good seeing everybody here in Oklahoma. I need to go see my 103 year old grandmother this weekend. I always look forwad to seeing grandma.

Maybe later on today I'll post a pic of the Guthrie Bluejays hoisting the State Championship trophy. Until then...
