We are tied up and safe!
09 April 2012 | Pascagoula, Mississippi
We are tied up to a transient dock in the inner harbor. It is absolutely gorgeous here. We are thinking about staying until Thursday morning. There is a pretty good chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday, so this is the safest place for us to be for now. Reed Estabock, the Ford Dealer here, had an Internet posting on how to get a deep draft vessel into the harbor. We have talked to him several times, and he has been most gracious. He has done everything except give us a new F150. As we were approaching Pascagoula, we saw two sailboats out in the sound. I hailed them on the radio, and they just so happened to dock their boats in the inner harbor. They too gave us some insight, and offered to take us to town. I told him how I am addicted to Popeyes chicken and red beans and rice. Guess what's for dinner tonight.
