Barber Marina

We checked Seanna into the Barber Marina to be secure for some upcoming bad weather. What we discovered was a jewel on the ICWW. I have been around marinas all over the USA and Barber Marina is among the best. The marina is only about three years old. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the staff is just wonderful. Hanna Krehling is the marina store manager. It is very likely that she will be your first contact at Barber's. When you deal with Hanna and the rest of the staff, you will quickly notice these aren't your everyday marina folks. By that, I have been around so many marina staffs that just refuse to provide the service you pay for. You get the feeling that you are a hinderance. You wont find that at Barber Marina!

Mr. Barber is an avid collector. The perimeter inside the store is lined with vintage outboard motors. All of the motors are in pristine condition. Mr. Barber also owns the Barber Vintage Motor-sports Museum in Birmingham, Alabama.

Another great thing about this marina is the boat repair yard. They do everything from re-powering your vessel, to bottom jobs. Do you want to do the work yourself? Believe it or not, that is allowed at the Barber boatyard!

If you are in the Orange Beach, Alabama area on the ICWW, I highly recommend Barber Marina. It is located on the ICWW at marker 74. their web address is...
