Moving to Pensacola

19 April 2012 | Barber Marina
Lester
We will untie Seanna today around 10:00, and head East about 10 miles to Pensacola. We will anchor tonight, and then move to a marina Friday in preparation for some MORE storms headed our way. We subscribed to the Chris Parker Weather Service yesterday. Chris told us that we will be fine until Friday evening. According to Chris, we need to be in a secure marina Friday night and Saturday, as he expects some pretty severe weather to pass over the Pensacola area.

Once we drop the anchor today, we want to tour the old Fort McCree sight and hang out on the beach. I know, I know, it's a hard life, but somebody has to live it! We are hoping to head to Destin, Florida on Monday.

We met a really nice couple last night here at the marina. They have a trawler and will probably be following our tracks around July. They are Will and Denise Stott. We got a tour of their boat, and it was really neat. They have been living aboard for a while and they passed on some of their tricks to us. We will certainly stay in contact with them and hopefully, we'll see them again. Will said he really like Savannah, Georgia, and so do Robyn and I, so maybe we will see them in Savannah. I'm hoping to spend several weeks there. We were in Savannah for our honeymoon, and we want to go back to spend more time in the area.

Ok, off to Florida, our fifth state since we started our adventure!
