Our Lifes Taking a New Path
13 September 2010

We have bought ourselves a new boat. In Sea of Cortez- Mexico. We will fly there the 9 November as it seems and continue our adventures from there.
At this point we also start a NEW BLOG for this new EPOQUE in our lives.
http://svnanna.wordpress.com
will be the url we will continue to tell our tales on from now on. You can already now get some facts of 's/v Nanna' as we'll rename her, and our own story. (well, not all of it, we do have a private part to it, such as what we've been doing all these weeks in France and Sweden.
Hope you'll enjoy these changes as much as we will.
*************************************
In the nearest future, we are looking forward to meeting friends on the Algarve again, before leaving 'Röde Orm' on the hard in Faro on behalf of her new owner.
Yes, i sold to a Swedish fellow, ready to take her anywhere they'd like to go.
We wish them fair winds and following seas on their voyages.

AT LAST! Returning to our boat
11 September 2010 | Nantes, Bretagne-France
Wednesday afternoon we'll be back on the boat after a 24 hour bus ride if everything goes according to plan.
I can't tell how much we're looking forward to it. It has now been three months we've spent on land, longer than we thought for sure, but we have dealt with health check-ups, other personal matters and of course:
had a wonderful time with our families and some friends
New sailing adventures ahead!
the picture is from Ilha do Tavira - Algarve. It shot it early this spring, before the tourist season and I bet it's crowded now.
Mont S:t Michel
07 September 2010 | Bretagne (or Normandie?)
We made a road trip to look at a boat in Carentan, close to Cherbourg, Normandie.
Rented a car, and made it a full day trip by visiting Mont S:t Michel and the charming old city of S:t Malo on our way back. Uploaded a couple of pictures on Flickr too.
The boat? - turned out to be in a lot worse shape than expected.
Mont S:t Michel on the photo. A thunderstorm passed by and the downpour was impressive.
Missing our boat!
02 September 2010 | still the same...
even a bit nicer.
Another good quote to share from one of y favorite authors; feels appropriate right now, when we long to get back to sailing.
'Between us there was, as I have already said somewhere, the bond of the sea. Besides holding our hearts together through long periods of separation, it had the effect of making us tolerant of each other's yarns -- and even convictions. Heart of Darkness
Joseph Conrad
yet another quote

sunny and nice!
Not too much sailing stories on this blog in a LOOOOONG time now.... I know.
That will change soon enough, and in the meantime I'd like to share another quote I came across this morning doing some random 'voyaging' on the web
'It was the Law of the Sea, they said. Civilization ends at the waterline. Beyond that, we all enter the food chain, and not always right at the top'. - HST
Cheers! ;-)
