I've been here on this lovely remote island now for 6 weeks. Sorry for the late bloging , but I've been kind of busy. It seems like even now I keep finding things that were damaged in the gale. Most recently, I discovered the main anchor roller was destroyed thus explaining why the anchor pin fell out just didn't notice it at the time. Good news is thanks to my lovely wife Luanne, The ship is about as good as it's going to get. She sewed up the sails and the bimini and dodger , organized the boat , and fed me for the two weeks she was here. I will miss the nice stereo system that died, but the Jawbone speaker Lulu brought from home should be adequate. The coast guard, customs and immigration were all here again today. They want very much for me to leave I think, or maybe they just don't have much else to do. Immigration says my 90 day visa expires on the 7 th of April, while the coast guard said I was extended to May 18 th. Still waiting for my Life Raft and parts for the generator which has an air leak. I suspect they will kick me out after that. Not sure what the Pacific high will be doing when I'm ready to go. For the first time, I've not been over whelmed with projects, so I think I'll go for a hike or perhaps go visit HaHa Jima on the ferry. Aloha
