The essence of home

28 August 2013 | Corvallis
Linda
Lauren reminded me at art class tonight about good ways to capture the essence of a place. I was struggling with trying to draw things from here to remember when I’m gone, and not having much success. As usual, she was full of wonderful ideas. I hope to find some time in the next week to capture some of the essence of Corvallis in my journal.

Time is moving at a glacial pace or so fast I can hardly bear it, depending on what it is I’m waiting for, or dreading. (Often the same thing.) I have 6 more days of work, one more weekend in Corvallis, 9 more nights to have Leo sleeping by my pillow. A few more trips to pick blackberries on the secret path and to harvest sweet golden tomatoes from Katy’s garden.
