A day at anchor on Rover

26 September 2023
Linda
It has been a windy day but with almost no rain (an improvement
from last night which was windy AND rainy). We didn’t go ashore today as
it was too windy to launch the dinghy and too many waves for a safe
passage to shore.Mark taught us a new card game called Up and Down the
River which turned out to be quite similar to a game Benny taught us
that he called Whist. It was very fun.

Tomorrow we are doing a ‘roll and go’ to our next destination, about 36
nautical miles from here.It will be a long day.The captain says we can
have coffee as we prep the boat to leave so WooHoo for that. Kim and I
had a bit of a tussle setting the anchor here but the captain has sorted
out the problem so it should be a relatively straightforward departure.
