Richard and Ruth began their marriage moving aboard a 43 foot C & C and began cruising the Carribean, the East Coast, and Central America. About a year later, en route to the Panama Canal, Ruth began to feel seasick when the boat was not in motion. Enter stage left, Richard Jr. [...]and a return to the states where they settled down to homeschool their now three children in a remote town on Lake Anna, Virginia. Sixteen years later, they decided to give their children a taste of sailing life before the eldest left for college. In March of 2014, they moved onto the R.P. Daly to attempt an Atlantic crossing.
