11-25 Thanksgiving dinner was wonderful aboard Persephone. Ann on Impressionist and I cooked side dishes and Trudy made the Turkey. It was a traditional meal topped off with Trudy's Pumpkin Pie! Great time and great conversation. Thanks to all.
Even though we are grateful for our lifestyle and all that goes with it we still have some envy! The two most lusted after items are a bed that you can get into easily and sleep well, and Steve really needs an electric windlass. While our bed in the v-berth is new and soft and comfy, we still climb in on our hands and knees and are a bit crowded. Making up the bed requires aerobics and contortions. So therefore I have berth-envy. Our manual windlass is almost as much work as no windlass at all, poor guy. It is on our list of things to get, eventually. Many cruisers have dingy envy! This is the family car that takes you shopping and visiting, etc. While our dingy is new and more than big enough, we have a 6hp motor so we only go about 4 to 5 knots with both of us on board.
But, like I say every day: there are those cruising with older boats, smaller beds, and tiny dingys!
11-23 See the guy up there at the top of the mast in the photo? Mike, visiting friends on Persephone, is in town for the holiday and we put him to work. Sailacious is getting a new Raymarine wind indicator. We will now have True Wind, Apparent Wind, Max Wind, and more. This will tie into our C80 via Seatalk connection and even help the Autohelm sail with the wind, changing heading as the wind fluctuates. I am so very excited! This is the lap of luxury :)
11-21 Rodney Bay marina is the only marina in the entire Caribbean that we have stayed in and we are here again. We are equalizing batteries and getting some mast work done. We need to run a new Halyard, add a new wind indicator and replace deck lights. There are two really nice grocery stores near here and we can get propane filled on site.
11-17 It was a great 60 mile run north to St Lucia from Bequia, taking about 10 hours. Still traveling with Persephone, now we have Impressionist as well. Trudy returns from the states to Persephone tomorrow and thank goodness, David is becoming so needy! :) We have a cocktail party planned for shortly after Trudy's plane lands, I know.... Any excuse!

Anchored in Marigot bay is keeping with our plan to see many placed we missed prior. This lovely bay is a large Moorings Charter base and the shops here cater to the Mega Yachts. While not our usual type of anchorage the main draw is a Rum Factory that makes one of the best spiced rums I have ever had, Chairman's Reserve. The unlimited taste testing added to that draw! Unfortunately they were not open on Saturday so we will need to try again on our return trip.
