Wisconsin is beautiful in the summer! Many days have been over 85 so the lake has allot of activity and the beaches are crowded. I have 3 types tomato plants and 5 different kinds of pepper plants growing in the garden. Soon we will be eating fresh salsa! Flowers are in bloom the grass is so green from all the rain we have had.
Spending time with my grandson Collin has been wonderful. He is so smart and so cute! I know I am the only grandmother that thinks that way :). We even went to a water park and I had my first ride on water slides. We had a great time but boy was I sore the next day!
We had one great weekend in Milwaukee so far and the night at El Fuego was a blast. Many old friends from Milwaukee (including my old sailing class) shared margaritas and memories. Mike Tischer even offered to take me sailing in my old 26' Pearson but we ran out of time. Dave Daniels that we first met in Les Saintes was there. Steve had his first taste of Frozen Custard! Ahh.
Lisa Cartwright left the Ponderosa and came for a visit and we hit the Antique stores and the Leinie Lodge. The Lodge is a mandate when you come to visit me! Hey Lisa, thanks for the Racine Kringle!
Last weekend we had a nice visit with Fritz and Elsa at their weekend place on the Peshtigo River. What a great place to have a beer and watch the wildlife right from the deck. We are hoping for an invitation to go back! (hint, hint)
