Happy chappies now. Booze locker looking healthy again, got a few provisions as well. Notice the priorities!
Left for Likuliku Bay, Waya Island Yasawas. Known as Octopus Bay. We arrived to a picture perfect setting. The one on many a postcard.
Kayaked ashore for a look around and decided to treat ourselves to cocktails and dinner that night. Octopus Resort is one of the best in Fiji and boy did we pay for that. One of the most expensive dinners we have ever had. So we decided to go to the beach bar after dinner and watch a couple of the RWC games. We had to have a couple of beers as you can’t sit at a bar watching rugby without a beer or two. Apparently!! What was another few dollars anyway. (Pot noddles for a week).

30th Sept

Left for Nanuya Balauv Island where we anchored off Manta Ray Bay. We looked for hours both in and out of the water but no Rays to be seen. There hadn’t been any sightings for a few days, it was the end of the season. Too early to swim with the whales in Tonga to late for the Rays in Fiji. It wasn’t meant to be.
The bonus was the snorkeling. By far the best so far. It was an amazing way to do it. Dinghy to the beginning of the channel, jump in tie the painter around your wrist and let the current take you to the end. Back in the dingy and do it again and again and again. Surrounded by thousands of tropical fish, literally drifting through them. It was fantastic.

Both well and happy
Moce!
