linda jones | Rainy season upon us.
November 11th.

It has been a long time since I have posted anything. Mostly because we haven’t done anything much to write about.
We have been in and out of Vunda marina to have repairs done and await parts to arrive. Spent some time again up in the Yasawas catching up with friends. We had a battle with the pumice covering the sea and had to stay put while it moved away. Not good for the water intakes. It took a few days but the bonus was the bottom of the dinghy had a nice clean as we motored through it. We have never seen anything like it, the beaches were covered and we walked through it up to our calves.
We had a fun weekend watching the Fiji sevens. They were held in the school grounds, it was a noisey colourful event. There were 12 of us and we were warmly welcomed in the opening speeches.

Back to Musket Cove to pick up a gang of people for a days fishing. NOTHING. We think MJ does not want us to catch fish! Went out to Cloud nine which is a floating platform on Roro reef. It’s for lounging on, snorkeling from, eating pizza and drinking cocktails. So I called to book and was informed it was $60 per head to climb on board. We had an 8year old with us, no discount for him. That was a no brainer for us. We had delicious food for lunch, all manner of antipasto type goodies, cold wine and beer and of course swimming and snorkeling off MJ. A great day was had by all.

We have had a lovely couple of weeks catching up with friends we met on the 2007 rally. They sold their previous boat and have bought another one here. They have been around the world since we saw them last so lots to talk about.

As you will all know by now we are returning home. We have a good weather window this week so are due to clear customs tomorrow. Should take around 5 days. So see you all again soon.

All good and ready to go.
