Hi everyone,

Island life is slow and it forces us to take its pace and that is good. Yesterday we took the dingy (the small boat) for her maiden voyage. We drove around and saw the sights and Savannah began learning how to drive her! She did a really good job and Tom was patient. We boated past one of the huge cruise ships docked in Roadtown. The vastness is quite different from a dinghy in the water looking right up at her.

Right now Tom is washing off the outside deck of the boat by dipping a bucket into the water and sloshing it about. Savannah is playing with her babydoll Rebecca and arranging her new shell collection. The sun is rising, but we still have plenty of shade at the moment.

Slugger is doing pretty good. He is acclimating to the warm weather and is recovering still from his airline trip down. Both dogs and Beetlejuice walk all over the boat and hang out at their leisure, usually searching for a shady spot.

Tom & I worked on our first, "fix it/change it" project yesterday. We took out the huge table in the galley opening up the space like a small living area. We worked together with patience and communication and accomplished it!

Last evening our new friends/neighbors came over for a visit. Dave and Danielle are a young couple from England. They were very friendly, interesting and Lexie cuddled in Dave's lap most all the night. Danielle has a Nintendo DS similar to Savannah's and they played some racing games with each other! Dave just accepted a job here at TMM Marina working on their boats. They are living on a boat 2 slips down from ours.

As for me, well, I don't want anyone to faint... but I have been doing laundry... washing it in the sink and then hanging it outside to dry on the line. It's kind of cool, things being simple. My hair is now very wavy I allow it to dry by itself in the wind & sun. Make-up? why? I'm yet to see any women wearing any.

Gotta run. Going to try to get semi-organized to begin homeschool with Savannah later this week!
