Welcome to Spain
07 July 2014 | Tossa de Mar Spain
Given the nighttime weather window, we slipped off the mooring buoy in Collioure harbor at 7 pm and headed out to a mostly calm sea. We had about 68 miles to go to reach several anchorages on the south side of the Cape Creus, so we had a night passage ahead of us. This would be a first for Norma Jean and Mike. They were great night time companions, and we had one of the most calm night time passages ever. So another "fierce" cape wasn't fierce!
We arrived in rain the next morning to a nice anchorage in Spain with a camp and water sport resort ashore. We anchored there for the day and that night, and Mike and Norma enjoyed a short kayak to explore the shore facilities. That night we were treated to a fantastic double rainbow and stunning sunset.
