On October 17 we flew back to the boat stored on the boatyard in Chiapas Mexico. Everything on the boat looked in good shape after the summer in which there is high heat and humidity We were happy that we had spent time washing the headliners with Lysol before we left last May, and that the dehumidifier we had installed worked well to keep the boat dry.

The heat and humidity and rain storms every afternoon continued for the last few weeks in October, which made working on the boat quite miserable. Our tiny window air conditioning unit was the only way we survived the conditions.

Dave installed new 3 blade fixed propellers which we hoped would help Purrrfect motor better against wind and chop. We also touched up our Copper Coat bottom paint and did the usual oil change maintenance. It was certainly great to be launched back into the water. It is always cooler there than in the hardtop boatyard.
