A Great Weather Window, Moving On
28 February 2018 | All alone at Hoffman Cay Beach
After sitting out a week, we were ready to move on and a weather window opened giving us 4-5 days to move with excellent conditions. We left Great Harbour on Thursday the 15th, to venture around the island to the east side, sailing north, then east past the Sturrup Islands and two large cruise ships, then south to an anchorage know as Hoffman Devils. We arrived late afternoon, but with enough time to drop the dinghy and venture behind Hoffman Cay to explore a Blue Hole in the middle of the Island. The beach landing on the bank side of Hoffman was beautiful, and the trail inland was well maintained through the forest, up a small hill and partially circling the large Blue Hole.
