About: |
We live near Seattle, USA. We are in the midst of our original 10-year plan to buy a boat, learn to sail, rent our home, leave our jobs and go sailin'. When the time is right, we plan to give up our life on land to head to bluer pastures with the hopes of traveling the world as long as possible. [...]When we finally return to dry land for good, we hope to have seen many of the worlds shoreline and experienced things that can only be experienced at 5 knots. If we find a place we like, we may stay there for an extended time, that's ok too.

sea…after all, doesn’t every sailor (if only secretly) want to sail the world? We sure do. On these pages we would like to share the process we are going through to meet our goal of sailing in all four of Vancouver Islands Sounds and eventually heading to the Caribbean and then...we'll see.
This informal site exists so that we can document our early planning and boat preparations, log our travels for future reference, share our experiences with friends and acquaintances (both old and new), and stay in touch with other neophyte sailors like us who are planning or just starting their first voyage.
Everyone has to have a plan. We do. This is just a high-level plan that will certainly change over time. Here goes:
