After making our way to the Statue of Liberty , we took a sharp turn towards Liberty Island State Park passing an anchored tanker to our port side.

Rather than drop an anchor behind the Statue of Liberty we made our way up the Morris basin canal..into a small cove where we found 5 other sailboats anchored for the night.

It was calm and sheltered.

Time for a Guinness and a fist pump between father & son !
We made it !
