Sailing Nokomis

Another big year – we are married by Dawn Cooley at Brackett Park on February 15. Everyone needs a party in the winter, and a February wedding would not interfere with the sailing season. Must maintain priorities!

Weekends we sail around the Apostle Islands, explore what they have to offer. Our children, grandchildren and friends join in the fun, we watch the Fourth of July fireworks from the boat. We explore the lighthouses on Sand and Raspberry Islands and hike on Oak. But mostly we sail.

The big adventure was a week trip up to Isle Royale with our friend David Breeser. We pack in a lot of sights and sail hard. Washington Harbor, McCargoe Cove, Tobin Bay and then we complete a circumnavigation of the island and off to Grand Marais.
