Another fascinating day-stop at Staffa Island. It is composed of columnar basalt - lava from a volcano that has formed into five-sided columns. Very unusual stuff, Gus found it fascinating. It included Fingal's Cave - a sea cave that went deeply into the island, and the water coming into it would bound around and make deep, guttural booms.
Vicki and Paul Have sailed Nokomis on Lake Superior from 2002 until 2011.
