Danger lurks around every corner

We just did what we consider to be the most dangerous thing of all on this trip – we rented a car for the day and did some sight-seeing. You have to remember we are used to traveling about 5 – 6 knots. And now Paul had to drive 60 mph on narrow, windy roads, with no shoulders. And stay in the left lane. And turn corners at an awkward angle and shift with his left hand. We were successful, sort of. Even though all the signs are in English, they do them differently than we are used to and we got lost several times, which meant we were too late to tour the cooperage. But everything else went well. We toured the Glen Garioch distillery and we went to Slains Castle, which is supposed to be the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The picture is of the castle as we sailed by the next day.
