Isle of Rhum

Tom and Rose McMaster, sailing buddies, joined us in Oban. We snarfed some really good waffles at the Chocolate Place and then headed out to the Hebrides. We stopped at Tobermory for a quick visit and an anchor overnight and then headed to the island of Rhum. This island has very steep hills and is a good place for hiking and birdwatching. It also has a castle, built in the late 1890’s which means it is really more of a manor house than a historic castle. But it is open only for tours, which was later in the day so we had to skip that.
