Today we toured south Harris by bus.. The east side is called the Golden Road. It is a one-lane road, with wider spots for passing. The road goes over hills, around the sides, back and forth. I could not believe how fast the driver could make it around those curves! Beautiful views of the land jutting into the sea, fresh water lochs and mountains. We had an opportunity to stop at a Heritage Center and to stop for a picnic at the beach. I even had an opportunity to wade in the cold salt water.
