23 October 2014 | West coast of Portugal
Thursday noon - out for 72 hours. Wind is steady from the north east, giving us a good wind with small waves. We are half-way south of Lisboa and the south coast of Portugal. Or, due east of Richmond, Virginia. When one gets bored, one starts playing around with the chart plotter. Sunny and low humidity. I wear a wonderful sun cap from Costco that my friend Doris purchased and sent over with granddaughter Kate. It has a long visor in front and back so it provides good protection. I also wear an over-sized white shirt from my previous boss, Mary Small, to keep half of my body out of the sun. We also have the covering of the bimini and hang towels to provide shade. I think we look like trailer trash, but anything to get out of the sun. Paul keeps busy adjusting sails and steering apparati. I read a lot and do soduko.
