Life without Captains Paul and Vicki has become very interesting. First, Captain Ginge came on-board, let go my dock lines, brought me out of the marina and into Gibraltar Harbor. Paul had introduced me to Ginge a couple of weeks ago so this did not make me nervous. But then he brought me right up to a huge ship! I have been close to them before, but never this close. And then someone started swimming around under me and attached some straps around my hull. Away I was lifted out of the water and brought up on the deck and made secure to a cradle. I never thought I would be carried on the back of another boat. But let me tell you, this baby is fast, we are sailing about three times as fast as I would normally go. Six days later and I am in Turkey at the far eastern end of the Mediterranean. This is different than any port I have been in before. Five times a day I hear a man chanting asking me to come to prayers. Not sure what that is about. And the smells! I can assure you Vicki never cooks with these spices. I am not sure what is next, but I can't wait to find out!
