After Brimstone Hill, we stopped at Rawlins Plantation at the north-end of the island and ate lunch at its English-style manor. The gardens were spectacular with many different types of song birds one of which kept coming to our table to steal sugar from our bow. He got so close that we could almost touch him. We enjoyed part of the afternoon here and left after playing a game of cricket.
As we headed south after rounding the north-end of the island we found a black-sand volcanic beach which was formed after Mt Liamuiga last exploded. This part of the island had impressive waves crashing against the large dark-rocks that had formed over years of sea pounding. This view was a good reminder to us of the power of the sea that we are sailing. Lastly, before returning to the marina, we stopped at the most popular beach in St. Kitts, Frigate beach, for a relaxing time.
