Old home week
18 November 2014 | Marina Papagayo, Bahia Culebra, Costa Rica
Dan- hot and tropical
I have written before about the bittersweet feelings we get as we leave friends behind in other ports. This week has put a new spin on that.
First it was CB and Tawn from Palarran pulling up to the anchorage area just outside of our marina. We have been having a good time with sharing their adventures on their cruise down here from Bahia Del Sol as well as us being able to share some of the parts of Costa Rica we have discovered.
We take a trip to Playa de Coco with them and run into Paul from Sunrunner and Gaston and Val from Tumbleweed within a half hour. The check in shuffle with Palarran crew had us all running into Megan and Andy off Waiarua.
All of us were neighbors in El Salvador. The only crews missing from this reunion are Cris and Jai of Gitana and Darren and Jody off Gratatouille. Morgan and Petra of Jalisco won’t make it either as they have a work gig.
Our friends off of Winterlude, Laird and Glenda and their dog Quinn, have had their boat here in Marina Papagayo for a bit as they traveled elsewhere, and they just arrived back to their boat this week as well!
This should be a fun week or two as we gather and swirl around swapping stories and tips before we split up again on our merry way, until we bump into each other once again in another far flung port.
And then it’s “So long, see you later” time once again, sigh…….
