19 months & counting

Trenten Reef Paul turned 19 months yesterday and I can hardly believe how quickly the time has past since his birth in Papeete, Tahiti. We have been on quite an adventure, as always.

Moorea

We have, (sadly), just dropped Christina and Nicola off at the airport in Tahiti after a week out anchored off the island of Moorea. What a wonderful week full of fun. The ladies hit the spa!, hiking and swimming with Sting Rays and Sharks. The water in Moorea is really clear blue hues. We had a [...]

Papeete, Tahiti

We are anchored off marina Taina in Papeete, the main city on the island of Tahiti. This is the only 'big city' (250,000) we have seen in several months. It is a mix of European French & casual islander. The large verdant island soars into the sky and is mostly surrounded by a coral barrier reef. [...]

Catching Up

HAPPY NEW YEAR! Hey - whats the rush right? We have just returned from a whirl wind trip to Michigan, San Diego, Puerto Vallarta and back to Panama City. Happy to have some resolution in a couple of the areas that required us to make the trips.

Uncle Wayne just left a few days ago and we had a nice week in Isla Contadora snorkeling and lounging around. No gaters on this trip!

Len has been plagued with the Mr. Fix-It hat this past week. The watermaker belt has been acting up and he is constantly adjusting it to get by. The secondary dingy (oh THAT DIGNHY) motor has been acting up. We had to get toed back to the boat by friendly s/v Lisa Kay the other night after a wonderful bonfire! We had a nice sail back from Panama City (jib and jigger) but then the mizzen luff tape is now separating! Are you serious Leisure Furl.... Please shoot me in the foot. The Main luff tape has been a constant grievance. We are getting up enough fire to fix this ONE AND FOR ALL! And Toilet duty. Toilet duty is enough to send anyone backing back to their suburban mecca. I luv my hard working husband...

Really ... this little above complaint is for those who think we lounge around all day drinking (nonalcohol) Coconut Umbrella Drinks. Okay - yes there are quite a few of those but sometimes we spend an hour or two working on jobs too!
