19 months & counting

Trenten Reef Paul turned 19 months yesterday and I can hardly believe how quickly the time has past since his birth in Papeete, Tahiti. We have been on quite an adventure, as always.

Moorea

We have, (sadly), just dropped Christina and Nicola off at the airport in Tahiti after a week out anchored off the island of Moorea. What a wonderful week full of fun. The ladies hit the spa!, hiking and swimming with Sting Rays and Sharks. The water in Moorea is really clear blue hues. We had a [...]

Papeete, Tahiti

We are anchored off marina Taina in Papeete, the main city on the island of Tahiti. This is the only 'big city' (250,000) we have seen in several months. It is a mix of European French & casual islander. The large verdant island soars into the sky and is mostly surrounded by a coral barrier reef. [...]

Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos

03 March 2013 | Galapagos
Erin
We have been enjoying Santa Cruz far more than we had expected. It truly is a marine paradise. The weather has been perfect and our first week in Galapagos was quite good to us. We had a bit of a problem with the Generator but have since been able to fix - we hope. All other yacht systems are up and running so we can venture out a little further this coming week. We have booked a couple day trips through Finch Bay hotel. Our friends, Alvaro and Latisia, were here from Salinas for a wedding and gave us great tour recommendations and an introduction to Sir David Balfour. Sir David sailed here from England in the 70s and was instumental in the development of the islands. We look forward to more great coversations with him and his family.

I have to make this post quick (enjoy the photos - i worked hard posting on a very slow internet connection!) as a new friend is cooking us lobster on our boat tonight! Please dont hate.
