We hauled anchor as it was getting bright and headed out Little Harbour Cut. The wind and sea state were good and we opted to continue on to Current Cut instead of the normal Royal Island. Not a good choice! The wind did not do as forecasted and we were shake, rattle and roll for the night. Morning could not come quick enough.
Dec 23 & 24, 2010
After some initial difficulties with the strong current, we were on our way having navigated the cut. We decided with Christmas and another front on the way, we would proceed straight to Rock Sound. Christmas eve, we were ashore and restocked on fresh fruit and veggies. We had already bought the turkey and accompanying dinner treats. Back to the boat and the first real down time since leaving Cape Breton. The tree was up and lights on outside. Ho-Ho-Ho. We had purchased internet time for the following day to make the call as we could.

We exchanged what was left of Christmas...Fred got his portable depth sounder in Little Harbour and felt compelled to give me my gift...Samsung Netbook. We made some calls and decided to move the boat prior to the front starting. Very lowkey and relaxing. Had the turkey and fixings. Ate too much and retired early. Hard life, but somebody had to do it.
