So, I have once again been slapped by the jinx of saying that weather looks good for a future date!! NEVER! NEVER! NEVER say weather looks good or fine for a journey. Even if the seas are forecasted for glassy there will be 6 ft waves!! Just getting out of the anchorage even though it didn't look like an inlet was crazy! There was a massive rage with steep waves similar to Cape May. It wasn't that it was scary this time, just annoying! Those waves continued for a good hour and over the next 4 hours they dissipated to a reasonable chop. We obviously missed an incredible weather window, but we weren't going to leave the night before because then what would we have done when we got to West Palm in the middle of the night? Whatever! We are here now. More later.
