A lazy day in Guernsey

We rose late, Pete made bacon butties and we had a lazy day on board. After weeks at anchor or on a mooring buoy we now had shore power and water. Our batteries were recharging nicely, we had showers aboard using lots of lovely water and then refilled the tanks and washed down the boat. Our neighbour was not too pleased as he was daisy chaining extension leads through his hatches to get his washing done and I was still learning how to use our new hose and delighting in the freely available water supply. Pete was busy below decks moping up the water I had splashed below.

That evening we ate Greek salad in the sunshine of our cockpit and watched this evenings procession of yachts enter the marina herded by the buzzing harbour masters then walked out to investigate the yacht club. Today's photo is a view from one of their many sun decks over the breakwater towards Herm.
