After leaving Port Taverna we headed up towards the Port of Bastia, the winds were light so we motor sailed all the way (24 miles, 5 hours).
We decided to stay in the Old Port as there are no suitable anchorages in this area. The port is set below the old town which surrounds the harbour with its many shops, bars and restaurants it gives a very warm, lively atmosphere.
We plan to explore Bastia today, then as the weather seems to look settled at the moment make our trip across to Elba from here.
Once in Elba which is then in Italy we will have lost our French internet so first job will be to go and find an internet store to organize wi'fi again, hope this won't take too long?
