After checking out of Turkey and enjoying a short stay in Symi, we sailed north to Lakki, the large harbor and main port of Leros. Protected by all winds except for the rare SW, it is a good place to anchor, provision and, for us, end our season as we'd previously contracted with Agmar Marine for 1 year (Aug 2011 through Aug 2012). We used one of their two included haulouts for three weeks in August for Craig to complete some major engine maintenance while Kath flew to the US to care for AuntieJean. The prep before the haulout was a week at Agmar's Lakki marina docks with water & electricity to wash sails and stow gear before our second and "over-wintering" haulout on the north end of the island at the Agmar Partheni boatyard.

The liftout went smoothly and, after a couple of days aboard to complete the the season end chores, we flew to England to visit pals Pat & Keith in Peterborough before returning to Miami and Boca Raton, FL for the winter.
