Laird was up and out in the dinghy early today. He visited the patisserie and brought this back to the boat!
Another day in paradise and another day headed to Josephine's for internet. Hopefully internet...
As we approached the "marina" (which is a concrete pier with a big "T" on the end) there was a flurry of activity. The supply ship "Dory" was in!
The ship has containers and more containers that are off loaded from the ship, then opened and unloaded by forklift.
The locals come to pick up their orders and then pay for them at this portable "office". People receive every thing you can imagine this way or by air... there are many many cars, trucks, vans & SUVs here and they ALL arrived via a supply ship!
One photo that we sadly didn't get, was where a local family was receiving a new refridgerator... the forklift driver drove down the main street with the fridge on the forks! I think we were trying to process this vision we were having and trying to determine if it was real or not!
We continued on to Josephine's! Josephine's is a "pension" which has individual bungaloos that are decorated in a Polynesian meets France style. Your breakfast & dinner are included in the nightly price. Imagine arriving by air and entering the driveway to Josephine's....
This is one of my favourite shots... The french furniture & mirror that is reflecting the palm trees.
Internet!! Yeay!! A new blog post can be uploaded!
Another great shot that Glenda took... John is trying out this neat chair. Looks like wood, but it is all plastic! Perfect for the humid conditions here in the South Pacific.
Walking back to the marina, we saw Perry & Dan hanging out at the Eleuthera Dive Shop.
Back on Winterlude in time for the afternoon showers & a beautiful rainbow.
