Alas, it was time for my shaggy captain to get his hair cut.... nope - no salons or barbershops here. We dinghied to shore and found a bench in the boatyard.
Am I a hairstylist? Nope. Any training? Nope. Clue as to how to do it? Nope. Willing to give it a go? Yep. John a willing guinea pig? Yep.
And Voila! No longer shaggy and still very handsome...
Luckily, word didn't get around that there were haircuts on shore and there was no lineup of cruisers wanting haircuts because I think beginner's luck only works once!
On our way back to Winterlude, we saw Nelly the Nurse shark - she didn't rush away from us but she didn't stop to pose for photos either.
We said hello to s/v Sunrise - Bill, Lara & Isobel. I think a dinner plan has hatched!
Sue & Pete on s/v Kiapa Nui have invited all the crew from the 4 boats in the anchorage to come over for happy hour on their catamaran.
An afternoon float before we get ready to join Kiapa Nui.
Sushi was on the menu for us to take over there.
Ahoy Kiapa Nui! Company is arriving.
Eeva & Tapio from s/v Irene - they are from Finland and have been cruising the South Pacific for decades. They gave us the GPS coordinates to get to the anchorage when we first arrived.
Glenda & Lara, Isobel's mom.
Fun? You bet!
I think we have another hair stylist in the lagoon...
