We departed Apataki at 1030 and headed to the pass to exit the atoll and this chapter of our sailing odyssey. We are 237 nautical miles & 48 hours or so away from Pape'ete. We should arrive just after daybreak.

Land ho! We completed the passage in 46 hours.



The entrance to the pass we were headed to, is a crazy place. The fast ferries use this entrance... look at the wake they kick up!



We also had to transit beside the airport! Keep your eyes peeled for 747s...



The anchorage is in sight and it is huge.



We have a slip at the Taina Marina which is in Faa'a and a short drive to downtown. We were greeted by marina workers in a dingy and they helped us med moor which means we backed up to the long dock.

After we were all tied up, it was time to celebrate. We haven't been at a dock since we left Costa Rica! First stop, the Pink Coconut Restaurant at the marina.





John got to have a sundae! A great way to end a day.



We also had an early Father's Day - John & Laird both received handlebar mustache corkscrews from each of their furry sons.
