Just before we whisked ourselves back to Canada, our excellent friends, Laura & Gary, dropped in for a visit. The Sea of Cortez weather gnomes made sure that we did our share of land touring.... that's right, a norther blew the whole time they were in La Paz. Not to worry though, I think we kept them entertained!!
On the way back to La Paz from the airport in Cabo, we had time to stop in Todos Santos...
Found Laura a sign she was in the right place!
In the town plaza, Gary got to channel his inner "Luchador" with the local vendors.
Arrival at Scot Free Eh for a liquid attitude adjustment - get these northern folks into the Baja Groove!
We walked the docks to go check out some of our neighbours....
Let the land touring begin... first stop, a trip to Tecolote Beach - one of our favourite places to have fresh fish for dinner. Playa Balandra - home of some of the most beautiful clear blue waters and white sandy beaches - is on our way... we stopped in!
On to Tecolote... and it is beautiful!
Laura has taken so many photos (so I'm glad to get her in some!)
We are not having any fun!!
Dinner was served on the beach - fresh fish with margaritas..... yup, delicious!
There was also a fabulous moon rise while we were there.
Land touring wouldn't be complete without a trip to El Triunfo... We love showing off this little gem of a town to all of our visiting friends!
We strolled around the old silver smelting smokestack... now you see Gary.... and then he crawled into the tunnel!
From El Triunfo to La Ventana... only about 45 minutes on a small paved road. We were lucky enough to catch the last day of a big kite boarding championship!
We watched the boarders from the upper deck of Playa Central. I think they know how to appeal to their customers!
I just love this "tope" sign... only in La Ventana.
