Mystery Guest Blogger revealed

19 December 2013
David
After calling Interpol we can now reveal the identity of our prankster mystery troll blogger as Simone (or sometimes known as Simon). Inspector Clouseau said "it was rare to find Simone in disguise as a man as he usually preferred dressing up as a woman. Analysis of his blog entries indicated 22 references to homosexual behaviour and our lead psycho-analytical forensic consultant suggested we search gay venues in particular ones focussing on cross-dressing and deviant behaviour. In light of Simones judgemental attacks on the fine reputations of the Sea Eagle crew we were looking for a disguise in that vein and this proved to be a valuable lead. Simone was apprehended red-handed (or should that be red-bottomed) at Madame Formidable's soho based house of ill-repute"
Simone will tried and sentence by his peers early in the new year. The "Jean-Claude" cycling posse have been subpoenaed and tour rules will not apply when the Wimbledon Kangaroo court is scheduled to convene next.

Beautiful Banks Beers in Barbados

We have arrived safe and sound. Checked in, done immigration, customs and now enjoying a local brew in idyllic surroundings. Starting work on the boat, washing, mending, greasing, polishing, cleaning etc. for the charter coming. But first enjoying a great lunch in a warm breezy outdoor restaurant and then sleep.

This may be the last one....

100 miles to go to to north point of Barbados. Saw a gannet catch a fish. Biggest waves so far - about 30ft. We have spent time sitting on the anchor on the front of the boat in warm water - better than a theme park ride! Rain squalls keeping us busy at night, but crew are excitied about arriving tomorrow about noon local time.

Sorry - late update from yesterday 3.30pm our time:

Gale force winds, horizontal rain, mountainous seas and occasional accidental jibe. Scrap of a sail (no jib and three reefs in main) hitting 10 knots boat speed. Intrepid mariners still managed to deep fry donuts and rustle up chicken curry and peaches with custard while watching England win world cup 2013.

Latest update:

In the interest of safety the crew decided to gaffer tape David to the mast. Spotted yacht on port quarter - David parleed francais tres bad. French skipper off to Martinique. Chris is washing crew tops in anticipation of land fall. Mike turning lobster pink. Rob J's excellent tuna salad flew across cabin yesterday. Rob B's thighs bruised from being thrown around cabin trying to cook. Strong seas, roller coaster riding down huge cresting waves but bright sunshine - amazing conditions! Past 3/4 mark, another 160 mile day and 450 miles to go.

Day 11 at sea

Dictated by phone....
Supplies dwindling, no caffeinated tea! Crew suffering withdrawal symptons. Using imperial leather shower gel to wash up! Fortunately found secret stash of loo rolls. Too rough for fishing, into dried food and tins. Top speed of 10.3 knots in 34 knots of wind - hope to arrive in 4-5 days time. Surfing down steep waves (squeaky bum time).

This is not as entertaining as our mystery blogger (I have my ideas on that) but rather more factual!
