So, we’re less than 2 weeks away from departing our home marina, moseying up north to Opua and getting into the final preparations for departure for our overseas sailing adventure. We have lists of jobs that must be done, jobs that would be good to have done if possible, things to buy, food to procure, equipment to master, etc, etc. We are busy and we’re trying to make sure we’re doing the important stuff first, but every now and then something else pops up that demands attention that wasn’t even on our radar.

We’re ticking things off the list (tick, tick, tick …), but we’re also aware that the clock continues to tick down relentlessly - tick, tick, tick …
