IC 12/01 – It’s been a while since I was able to post progress. I am in Cocoa Florida at Cocoa Village Marina. Great place with good facilities (showers, laundry, shopping and restaurants).

Intracostal pre-trip

Intracostal Pre-Start, Back in Norfolk. My brother-in-law, Bob on his way driving to Florida gave me a ride back to “Sea Ghost” waiting patiently at the Bluewater Yachting Center. My crew in the person of Maria Graham will be joining me Sunday and we will get to meet the people who are also making this trip down the Intracostal to Florida. There are 18 Boats and 30 people making this voyage.
It seem as if hurricanes had a target on my boat this year. Florence stopped me in Sandy Hook, NJ so that the remnants of Greg could bounce me around. Then my namesake, Michael, devastating to Florida, ran through the south so it could get my boat where it sat waiting in Norfolk, VA. Mother Nature, I have a request – “please stop”.
p.s. My boat survived thanks to boating friends staying in the slip next to me.
