IC 12/01 – It’s been a while since I was able to post progress. I am in Cocoa Florida at Cocoa Village Marina. Great place with good facilities (showers, laundry, shopping and restaurants).

IC 11/16 - Holed up in Hilton Head at the Windmill Marina home of the South Carolina Yacht Club. Very interesting marina, they have a lock system to let in one boat at a time. The marina is always at a constant level with no current or tidal effects. I'm told only one of three on the east coast. We were [...]

IC 11/05 - Marinas are a little crowded because of the hurricanes this year. Some are still recovering and the rest are getting the boats that had to delay their start or got stopped along the way.
Maybe a little warmer but rainy here in Georgetown, SC. Was going to do the blog last night but had a choice, Sports Bar (Buzz's Roost) and watch the Patriots or sit on the boat and type. Patriots won out and also won the game. Patriots - 31, Green Bay -17.
Easy trip down the Intracostal yesterday lots of twist and turns but the waterway is plenty wide and deep. We had the current with us most of the way and were doing almost 7 knots with the engine at an easy rpm. The wind picked up a little toward the end but docking was fairly easy. I'm learning more about maneuvering in close quarters. Always interesting especially with wind. Georgetown is a great little town with a Harborwalk loaded with restaurants and gift shops.
We are leaving early tomorrow morning to catch the tide correctly so the boats with the deeper draft don't get stuck. Anchoring out and then continuing on to Charleston, SC on Wednesday.
