New blog

Steve Cox
Well, I've finally started a blog about SEAN O'Sea. I've been working on her for a couple of years now but the work is finally getting into high gear. SEAN O'Sea is a Mariner 32 ketch manufactured by Far East Yachts, Japan in 1972. Her hull is #59. She needs a lot of work (many times I've thought starting from scratch would have been easier) but there is some incredible wood and craftsmanship on her that would be almost impossible to duplicate today, at least with my budget. She will be the floating vacation home for my family of four around the Puget Sound with plans for a trip to Alaska in the near future. This first picture was the boat when we bought her and I'll be adding more in the near future.

About:
I (Steve) am the builder on this project. After a stint in the Navy as an Electronics Technician and some time as a computer instructor I wound up going to Seattle Central Community College for boatbuilding and cabinetmaking courses. [...]
Extra: The name for the boat comes from the first letters of all our names which also happens to be in chronological order. We are all looking forward to getting the boat back in the water.
