New foredeck work

01 August 2009
This is what the new foredeck looks like. I have raised all the areas where there will be deck penetrations in order to help keep the water out. I changed the two bitts to a samson post in order to let the rodes reach the windlass which will be behind the samson post. The hole to the left of the post will be for the secondary rode to drop into the original chain locker. The hole behind the post will let the the chain for the primary anchor (250') drop into the area under the front of the v-berth. I have also built a new bowsprit with dual rollers for the anchors.
