Boca Chica

Then we motored along the coast to Boca Chica. It was a nasty run with rough seas and high winds but we got in safely and took a mooring at Frank Virgintino’s marina. Frank writes all the free cruising guides for the Caribbean and is very active in our sailing organization (SSCA). He is a professor and is the one who talked us into coming down to the Caribbean via Haiti and DR. He has a lovely marina and wonderful people working for him. He has a gorgeous old very large sailboat, (right lower picture) that he keeps at the marina. That’s Harry sitting at the bar (where else). Another picture is thousands of Dominicans spending Easter Sunday on the beach. They were having a fantastic time with picnics, swimming, playing games and kids digging in the sand and people just enjoying the day and the sun. We loved the guy carrying the water toys around for people to use. You couldn’t see him at all.
